Urban Tree Connection is now the Neighborhood Land Power Project
Who We Are
Neighborhood Land Power Project (NLPP) is a 501(c)(3) community-based organization, and
our mission is to build a neighborhood-rooted food and land system
through community leadership development and land-based strategies in West Philadelphia.
Over the last two decades, we have partnered with residents of West Philadelphia's Haddington neighborhood to develop and sustain community-driven greening and gardening projects. Our network of garden and farm sites are spaces for communal growing, gathering, and education that foster deep community engagement and leadership development of residents of all ages, to build a healthy sustainable community.
Volunteer
Neighborhood Land Power Project is a grassroots organization, and we rely on the partnership of community volunteers to make our work possible. In 2019, we hosted over 300 volunteers who contributed more than 2,500 hours of their time at our farms and garden sites. We appreciate our volunteers from Haddington and across the city and region and their significant contributions over the growing seasons.
Donate
Neighborhood Land Power Project is powered by people: our Staff, leadership, Community leaders and young people are shaping and carrying out our organizational goals, priorities and strategies to achieve our mission. It is also powered by individuals like you, our community of supporters that invest in our mission and our community. Your support enables us to sustain and grow our programming and be good stewards of our community-based gardening, farming and green space sites even in the most challenging times.
Together, we are building a community-rooted food system in West Philly.
